Jamey has been teaching summer long creative writing workshops on the UC Berkeley campus every summer since 2016. The middle and high school students in the program are enrolled into a handful of college prep courses and a few electives, like Jamey’s creative writing class. These classes give students the freedom and tools to radically discuss the world around them. Every summer ends with the colloquium, which is a seminar were the students get to share their work with their friends, family, and community.
